Our Residential Managers are the Best in the Business

Joe always had a passion for helping others and has worked in a variety of fields to hone his skills and interests. He has worked in the construction trades for most of his life, which he viewed as helping others with their homes. After being self-employed, something was calling his heart to switch directions. Joe attended University of Colorado Colorado Springs and obtained his Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language (ASL). While there he tutored and was a Teacher's Assistant in the ASL program, as well as worked in a Trauma research lab. Shortly after graduating, Joe worked as a Service Coordinator (SC) at a Community Centered Board (CCB), then was promoted to Senior SC. This role was very gratifying as Joe discovered his passion to mentor and train others. Joe also greatly enjoyed connecting and helping the individuals and families in services, and took a great interest in learning everything he could to better assist others. However, after some time, Joe felt like he was not able to help his people in the way his heart was calling to him. So, he is very excited and honored to start his journey here at Your Choice Residential and looks forward to connecting with everyone in this wonderful community.
Joe is a specialist in many areas, from construction, to working on cars, various sports, and much more. But his other passions are playing the piano, ice skating, walking his dog, and working on his house. He also greatly enjoys Broadway shows, the Colorado Symphony, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.

Meghan became passionate about helping others when she got involved with her high school’s Coalition club and got to participate in various volunteer opportunities, including helping teach choreography with a dance troupe made up of teens and adults with disabilities. This experience, among others, led her to pursue a degree in Human Services – Integrative Practice and certificate in Victim/Survivor Services at Washburn University where she also served as the Washburn Human Services Coalition president during her senior year. While in school, Meghan completed internships in social work, family services, and administrative work at local HeadStart programs. Following graduation, she worked as a substitute teacher and SpEd para before relocating to Washington state, just outside of Seattle. There, she worked as a resource coordinator for families enrolled in early intervention services, particularly those who were experiencing housing and food insecurity and domestic violence. In the Fall of 2020, Meghan relocated to Colorado and began working at Community Centered Board (CCB) as a service coordinator assisting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to advocate for themselves and access waiver services. After nearly 2 years in that role, she decided to transition to the provider side and joined Your Choice. She is looking forward to using her knowledge of waiver services and community resources in a new capacity as well as getting to build closer relationships with people utilizing services, their families, and their providers.
In her free time, Meghan enjoys reading, yoga, playing soccer with the Switchbacks Unified team, and spending time outside camping and hiking with her husband, daughter, and dog.”

Originally from Minnesota, David moved to Colorado shortly after finishing school and has called the Springs home ever since. As COO, he brings a unique perspective to residential services in the IDD world, backed by a degree in Psychology and a career dedicated to helping others.
Before transitioning into operations, David spent years working with children with autism and served in Case Management and Quality Assurance at the local Community Centered Board. This background in advocacy and quality control means he doesn’t just manage projects—he manages them with a level of precision and empathy that is rare in this industry.
